In the first picture, we can see a labourer while in the second we see a doctor.

As we see in the first picture, he is a labourer.

Being a labourer is not a very hard job to get due to studies are not necessary. But not everybody can do it. Many other skills are needed. Like be strong because of standing for long time and bringing rocks or beams from one side to another side. So this is very tired and a lot of force is needed.

Another fact they have to deal with, is that they aren't well paid. Is a very honored job, but studies are not requested so is not considered a very good job.

In the second photo, we can see a doctor. The girl in the photo is smiling a lot but before reaching her title as a doctor you must be a lot of years studying, doing practices.... so this is a very vocational job. 

And not to mention you need a 12 in the selectivity. This is a long time studying and a very hard job to get.

But not only studies are necessary. Doctors are always under pressure. If they do a mistake, it can mean that the patient dies or not. So lot of pacience is needed to don't get nervous and do good operations. 

Both usually have to stay for long hours working, labourers mostly work outside and doctors inside.

Although labourers usually work in bad conditions I think being a doctor is more difficult than being a labourer.

When I entered the school in September... I quickly saw that it would be a difficult year. Although I worked a lot in the summer, it was difficult to reach the level of the class and follow the working dynamic. But with a lot of help of the classmates and above all of the teacher I could pass most of the exams.

During the rest of the course since now, I have felt very comfortable inside the class and with all my classmates. We have done loads of activities and we have learnt a lot of English while having fun.

But now, the course ends. I have enjoyed so much it, and now it's time to enjoy the summer!

A STORY

STORIES, the second project we have done this term. This time with Cristina.

We have studied all the types of storys and the types of characters are in.

THREE STEPS ABOVE HEAVEN

"Three steps above Heaven” is a romantic film starring by Mario Casas as “Hache” and María Valverde as “Baby”. This Spanish film tells the story of one boy and one girl with two completely different lives. The boy has had a difficult adolescence due to the hard separation of his parents. However, the girl, whose parents are very rich, studies in a school with very good standards and has a very good life. Until Hache arrives.

Baby falls in love with Hache and he too. Baby tries new experiences like joining in illegal moto races. She likes leaving her routine of studying during all the day and enters another world full of beautiful and romantic moments. There are also spectacular moments with lots of rushes of adrenalin. But Hache isn’t as perfect as he seems till now.  

Hache is a problematic boy and Baby’s parents don’t like him very much. During the film, Hache has to deal with loads of problems. This, causes loads of hazards in their relationship. Finally, Baby’s parents organize a party to celebrate her 18^th birthday. Hache comes and hits one guest. And to top it all, a very good friend of Baby and Hache dies. Is very difficult for Baby to bear all this problems, so she have to take an important decision….

I particularly enjoyed in the film that Baby skipped her classes during all the day and Hache brought her to the beach by moto going through a large variety of beautiful landscapes. This day was a very special day. They spent all the day together and had lot of fun. Many romantic moments were enjoyed. Clearly, what I liked least is the end of the film. I didn’t like how a beautiful film like this one can finish so badly. With one person dead, Hache and Baby separated and with some crying moments.

I really wish the next film would have a better ending. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the film. I recommend you this romantic film. Above all to all the teenagers or fanatics of love stories.

A NEWS REPORT

A NEWS REPORT: THEFT AT JOAN ORÓ

During one month, we have done a project with Laila. The project was about a theft in Joan Oró. She gave us some evidences, witnesses and a story of what happened of each suspect.

We had to make questions to the suspects and guess who stole the painting.

Finally, all of them were involved in the crime. So we organized a judgment in a court done by all the people in the class.

FIRST DAY

21/06/2123

Last week was a concentration of Spanish people occupying all the city of Madrid with a manifestation saying that the Chinese products are not so good and there are very useless.

Chinese people have been revolutionized and have come to Spain and conquest it. They have half of the Spanish population concentrated in Spain concentration camps and the other half in Chinese concentration camps.

They have all the city occupied! The city is full of Chinese people, there are maybe loads of thousands of Chinese soldiers.

We are very lucky, some years ago I go to a Chinese shop to buy some things for an English work. So when I left the shop I see a little Chinese boy and he wants to cross the street, so I ran and I didn’t let him crossing the street. One bus was passing in the same time, if I wasn’t there the little kid was going to death. His parents saw it so I became his friends, in their family there also was a boy about my age so we also became friends and every weekend we went playing football on the street.

I did a very good friends and they are now saving us, they are helping us and sending us some necessary things to survive without leaving the house.

Today it’s the first day we are hiding and I’m writing this in the diary on my laptop.

SECOND DAY

22/06/2123

It's seven o’clock in the morning and my father has aroused me because he is doing some little holes in the walls because our new house hasn’t any window. He is taking advantage that Chinese people is sleeping so nobody can hear it.

When he finished doing the holes. My parents became looking through the holes and taking notes of the Chinese people timetable.

And now is time to having lunch. They are teaching us when we can make noise and when we mustn’t. Now we are like Anne Frank family but this Chinese people are much worse. They are all the day working and searching for new Spanish people.

When we finished having dinner my parents tell us our timetable. So, in the morning we must be in silence to 9:00 – 14:30. And in the afternoon to 15:20 to 20:30. During this time, Chinese soldiers are walking through the only street we can see, the one that is in front of the house.

So I take my headphones and I am listening music all the day. Listening all the songs all the day it finally became boring, so I have installed so many apps to update every day my songs. I’m ready to combat the boredom.

 THIRD DAY

23/06/2123

We have more or less a comfortable house. We have loads of books and I have my mobile phone and my computer. This is not the hell, it’s a good place to stay a few months.

Now my father is repairing a TV is the house. We are listening the notices of an English radio. He is explaining all what is happening but all what is saying we also know. No more news for the moment so we keep doing the routine. Getting inside the fantastic world of the music.

We finished having dinner and we was 20:30 passed so we were doing a MONOPOLY game and laughing and speaking. Suddenly my father got up and said SSSSHHHT! We get worried and he said to us that there was a Chinese patrol going through the city. In front of us we could see another house with the lights opened and also doing noise, they were also Spanish people but they didn’t see the patrol. So the Chinese people went up and when they return to the street they caught a Spanish family with two children and two adult. In this moment, we knew that we have to be always in warning.

FOURTH DAY

24/06/2123

Today I decided to do another thing than being with the mobile phone all the day. So I’m going to read some books of Joules Verne that I found in the living room.

Wow it seems very interesting, “20 000 leagues under the sea”. I’m going to begin it.

I have been reading for 3 very large hours and the book is exciting! I’m a bite scared about the terrible monster that the book describes but I’m very impatient of continue reading after having lunch and see how finish the adventure of the captain Nemo.

Today it has been a boring lunch. Nobody have nothing to say and it has been so many silence. So I finish having lunch quickly and I get into the fantastic world of the books. In the fantastic story of Aronnax and the captain Nemo. I was reading another 3 hours and I finished the book. I liked so much. I never read any book so quickly like this. I have loads of books of Joules Verne so I’m going to read all of them.

I like so much this one, I like the final, the ship of Aronnax was destroyed and he and two more people went swimming to an island, then the Nautilus and the captain Nemo saved their and finally, the monster attack the nautilus. The people of the ship beat the monster.

FIVETH DAY

I like so much the book of Julio Verne that I read yesterday but I read so much and today I want to do something different, so I take my mobile phone and I get into Play Store.

I download so many games to spend time in and to don’t get bored, my brother help me choosing the best games. He really like phone games and is all the day playing with them, he is always downloading new ones. He say that playing mobile games is the best you can do in your free time, I don’t trust it because he is always getting angry when he lose and sometimes the parents also get angry because he shout.

I begin yearning some people, going to the school and meeting all my friends, I don’t mind if I have to study hard or do loads of homework, I want the life I had before, I want that all finishes and we can stay at home and doing our normal lives.

Now I have finished having lunch and I go quickly to my phone. I have downloaded a game. I like it a lot and I can’t stop playing it. Its name is Candy Crush and I go on the level 154. Oh no! I get without any live! Now I have to stop during 20 minutes.

I really like it and I have played this game all the morning!

Wow! My father is saying to me to have dinner but I don’t want it, I go on level 231. Oh no! Another time, I get without lives. Now I have dinner and when I will finish I continue playing.

SIXTH DAY

26/06/2123

My head was not able to continue playing, I think I’m ill, I have headache. I was all the day looking at the mobile phone.

My father is putting me the thermometer. I am at 38º! I have fever and I can’t move of the bed. I’m also very tired.

I have slept many hours until the Chinese people finished working and now they have arrived and they have brought me a syrup and now I’m feeling better. It’s time to have lunch and we put the news. Another time the English man. Now is saying that Spanish government is going to negotiate with the Chinese one, he is saying that the Chinese government is putting hard conditions but they will have a fair agreement.

Now I feel better but I don’t want any mobile phone during so many days. So I’m going to read some book of Joules Verne, this time “Around the World in 80 days”. I wish this book likes me so much as the last one.

I was all the afternoon reading, I have dinner very quickly and I continue reading since 4 o’clock in the night. I finished and I found it the best book I ever read. I love it, much better than the other one.

It’s about Phileas Fogg, a boy that one day bet with his friends that he can travel around the world in 80 days. He try it with his servant Passepartout. And mathematically there was no problem to do it. But the detective Fix was pursuing Phileas because he think he had stolen a bank. So when he was ready to arrive, the detective, caught him and he think that he didn’t arrive for only a few hours. But as he travelled to the East, he won many hours and his clock was incorrect so he win the bet.

It was a beautiful history, but the best of the book in my opinion is the lovely history between Auda, a girl that he meet in India and Phileas Fogg.

SEVENTH DAY

22/06/2123

Yesterday I went to sleep very late so this morning I get up very late too, now there is 2 o’clock and I don’t have breakfast. I directly have lunch, when I get in the dining room all my family was excited and all of them was hugging someone.

I was very confused, and very quickly when they see me, they shout to me what is happening, the two governments have arrived in a fair agreement and the Chinese troops are going back to China.

China people get more places to establish their shops and there will be an expensive fine to the people who say something against Chinese people. I quickly go to the street and I was terrible surprised, there was lot of people hiding, and this afternoon Chinese people is going to return all the people who were in China.

This afternoon the social networks become crazy. Loads of people explain his experiences in the concentration camps in China and in Spain.

We were very lucky of being friends of the Chinese family, we don’t have a terrible experience such as some other friends. The ones who went to China had to work very hardly and the people in Spanish concentration camps some days were very hungry.

MOBILE PHONES IN CLASS

Technology is always advancing, during the years we have more advanced technologies and we have created some technologic invents like smartphones to do the human life better. But not sometimes in some places we shouldn’t use it, so the question is; do the mobile phones should be allowed in class?

In the one hand, smartphones can be used for loads of things; the main one is searching information. Nowadays we have a fantastic innovation said internet, what you can’t found on the internet it doesn’t exist. You can search exactly what you want in a few seconds, you can search some unknown words in other languages, download some apps very useful, etc. Furthermore you can use smartphones to take notes faster than doing it by hand.

In the other hand, smartphones can be used to work, but the main reason for using smartphones is for having fun or spending time on it. I think is not a good idea having one tool which you can play in class. Moreover I think if many teachers allow the mobile phones in class the students will play games on the mobile phone all the day, therefore, nobody will work in class and it will be a disaster.

Nevertheless, if the teacher had one program to overlook what the students are doing in their mobile phones, the mobile phone will be a very useful tool to use in class so that the students could search information easily and faster. But nowadays we haven’t any app like this so using the mobile phone in class is not a good idea. As I have said, it will be a distraction for the students.

In brief, smartphones is maybe the most important invention created since now, most of the people have their own smartphone and everybody loves them. I really like smartphones, I spend loads of hours on the mobile phone, but I thing is not a good idea to use them in class, they are incredible, whereas in class there are simple distraction tools.
