THIS IS MY LAST POST AS A SECONDARY STUDENT!

It has been a long time... four years. Four incredible but very long years. We have almost finished the ESO! I know the two next years will be even more long. But I'm very cheerful to begin Batxillerat.
And I feel ready for it.
Well, I have already done the boring part of my last post. Now it's time to stop speaking about studying and more studying. We have enough with all the exams.
Tomorrow in the afternoon I have a really important one. The referee's one. I've been 1 week studying all the football rules... I thought it won't be really difficult to me as I have been playing footbal since I was 4. But there is a lot of  technical and dificult names... I hope I pass the exam tomorrow.
And, due to I'm not forced to be serious in this post. I would like to end my secondary era with a joke.


Officer: You were speeding.
Man: No, I wasn't.
Officer: Yes, you were. I'm giving you a ticket.
Man: But I wasn't speeding.
Officer: Tell that to the judge! (The officer gives man the ticket.)
Man: Would I get another ticket if I called you a jerk?
Officer: Yes, you would.
Man: What if I just thought that you were?
Officer: I can't give you a ticket for what you think.
Man: Fine, I think you're a jerk! 

My reflection on this year

Hummingbirds are the smallest type of birds. Many species of hummingbirds hardly mesures 8 cm in lenght. They have a special characteristic, they are known as humming birds because of the humming sound that they do while they beat the wings, as bees.
But their most important characteristic, is that they are the birds whose life expectancy is the shortest. As they live 3 years while most birds live around 10 years.
We consider a life like that very short, but it's a very long time for humming birds, a whole life.

So this is what it has happened to my this course. At the beginning, I though it would be a difficult year, working hard every single day. But as the months have been passing. I have seen that fact was not true.
Although we've worked hard the whole year, the year have passed in the blink of an eye. I have really enjoyed it, well,  despite one or two unmerited 0 and (he speaks Catalan in class). jajaja, it's a joke, I have loved even that moments.
Refferring to all the work done. We've done a lot of activities....cheat sheets... how to chat up... hazardous climate conditions.... and thanks to that and to all the vocabulary tests. We've learned a huge number of new words and vocabulary along to an incredible upgrade in our English level. Which was the objective of the year.
Reffering to all the personal work. We've seen another time how good you are Montse. Making us incredible and funny vocabulary tests every week. Substituting 10 for 0 just because you say so. Amazing!.. Now seriously, having a teacher as you is the best thing it could happen to us among the all ESO. I've never found and I won't never find a teacher that helps us as much as you do. Every single doubt we had about our hommework. It didn't matter if it was 7 of the afternoon, 12 in the night, if you had a lot of work, if you had a bad day... You solve it. You always devoted time to us. And despite sometimes we don't show it, we are really really grateful.

A SPECIAL EVENT!

"FESTA MAJOR DE LLEIDA"

Every year, you can enjoy the two traditional parties of the city. These two parties take place in
September and in May. Everyone is anxiously waiting them during all the year, and once they arrive,
teenagers usually fight with their parents for a permission to go out.

As we can perfectly see in everyone’s “instastories”, last weekend was the typical party in Lleida
celebrated in May. Most people went out on Saturday in “Camps d’Elisis”, a place where most
performances took place. In addition, we could realize that we are very close to the summer as
many people wore short trousers at the same time I was frozen…. crazy people…

La Paeria tried to offer us the best performances they could, so they hired two famous singers
called Cruz Cafune and Bad Gyal. They are very popular through teenagers and modern music eras
so many people went there to see their favourite artists.

To be honest, I expected much more from their interventions and in my opinion it was a completely
disaster. Both singers became famous due to one or two excellent songs, but once they were there,
they were singing all their songs, and most of them were horrible…. Laying that aside, I have had a
lot of fun with my friends and in conclusion, I can qualify this “Festa Major” as a very good one that
not every city can boast of.

EBRO's BATTLE

This term, in social science, we worked a lot in the Spanish Civil War. And as a final work of that long project, we had to create a sorty absed on real events.

I did it about my grandgrandfather. And for making a very good and complete work, My family and I went to the Ebre's surroundings. Ribera d'Ebre, Corbera d'Ebre....
There, we visited a lot of real trenchs and museums about that war.
It was really interesting!

As always, we first thought he was crazy, but then, when we hands up in the project, we realized that it was an amazing idea.

This trimester we were asked to create a vídeo about how to chat someone up.

Around St. Valentine's dates, our mishevious teacher began with a new topic, LOVE.
After many lovely sessions (jaja) the final project was to create that video.

VALENTINE

To celebrate the Valentine's day, the 14th of February and the love day. Apart from many vocabulary, we had to create a valentine. Which is like a little poem.

PECHAKUCHA

Last week, we did an activity that our crative teacher has invented; pechakucha. This, consists of an oral exposition but with the rule that you must have to be talking for 20 seconds on each diapositive. No more seconds and no less seconds.

NGO

As the final product of the firrst term. We work on the NGO and the main big problems in the world as domestic violence, starving children...
Then, after knowing a little about NGO we had to create our own NGO.
Our group decided to do an ngo about wales and how pollution affects the ocean wildlife.

We have created a triptick that you can see here along with a power explaining about all we have done in our NGO, a webpage and finally many cards to contact us.

I wish you like our NGO and don't doubt about getting in touch in our organization.

THE HOUSEE...

THE HOUSE

The 3rd owner of the house was Mr.Hoffenhof, a rich monk owner of a monsatery. He had bought the house when he decided to have the monastery closed because he had become very rich thanks to stealing the people's donations. He had been listening the sins of the people who came to his monastery until one day, one man had entered and had stolen the donations of that month.

When Mr.Hoffenhof realized it. He got ver angry and at that exact moment, a beggal entered his monastery looking for some alms. Immediately, he thrown him away.

One evening Mr.Hoffenhof was organizing all his bank accounts and looking for many notifications in Instagram when suddenly the doorbell rung. The ring mixed with a terrible thunder and the sound of the rain falling down over the roof of the house.

When he opened the door, he saw a man, but not a normal one, he had the authentic face of the devil and until he could even shout, the man stabbed a bog knife in front of his face. The beggal he had thrown away many years ago had returned.

While he was dying, he heard the voice of Professor Eckenthorpe saying, "This is the terrible curse  that I brought to this house".

Last week in class, our teacher Montse organized an special actvity to learn abou the future, we found about the uses of each future tense, we convert in teachers for a minutes and explain what our tense consists of. Then, we represented in a drawing as funniest as we can. 

Here there is the four drawings that we finally got.

ROMEO and JULIET

ROMEO and JULIET

In Italy, Venice. Lord Capulet organized a prty. the admission of Montaguese family members in the party was forbidden but Romeo and his friend Mercutio entered to the party to see Rosaline, the Lord's Capulete niece and a girl that both friends admired.

In the party, he saw Juliet, Lord's Capulet daughter and he fell in love. Tybalt, Lord's capulet nephew, discovered Romeo but Lord Capulet didn't want to fight and welcomed Romeo in the party. At the end of it, both fell in love.

After the party, Romeo went to the balcony of Juliet and told her that he was in love with her. Juliet went to sleep, but the day didn't finish there.

When he left Juliet's balcony, he met with his friend and casually founded tybalt and Juliet's future husband. A fight began and Mercutio was killed by the Juliet's future husband. In revenge, Romeo killed Tybalt.

When Juliet knew the death of his cousin, she got very sad. Romeo went to her balcony and told her that he was the killed of Tybalt. But he also told to marry her. Julied said yes and went to the bisbe. Bisbe said that they must be married by hiding due to the family rivalitie. 

They created a plan;  to drink a potion so everybody will think she was death, so both could escape and live together.

Bisbe had to tell the plan to Romeoand he sent a message. But it didn't arrive and Romeo thought she had killed herself due to her cousin death. Rome felt guilty and killed himself.

ENVIRONMENT

Nowadays, the pollution has reached a crtical point. Our society has got used to throw up lot of rubbish at Nature. People don't care about recycling or maintaining the natural habits clean. They prefer to throw litter in the middle of a park than walking a few meters more and throw it to a bin. It's a good way of taking care of the environment?

We can find pollution even in the rivers and seas, a lot of rubbish has been found in the sea's depths and in the seashore. Humans are responsible for the death of many fishes and water pollution. 

One of the main causes of this pollution is transport. Many vehicles, like cars, produce a high quantity of CO2, a gas that heavily damages the environment and also contributes to the climatic change, a very important threat to the Earth.

I think we all have to make an effort and try to help the environment. It is a problem that maybe it won't affect us, but our sons will have to deal with it. A good way of doing it could be to establish a new system of recycling just as many countries like Austra and Germany have already done.

Lleida is a fantastic city where you can enjoy so much this touring holiday in a lot of ways:

You can’t leave Lleida without visiting La Seu Vella. It's a very old monument and the most symbolic building of the city. This cathedral is situated in Lleida’s hill and you can visit it by going on 238 steps until the top of the bell tower. There, you can see a vast view of the city of Lleida.

Another beautiful place is La Mitjana, a forest that the river Segre passes through. There you can do a lot of activities like a bicycle route or a kayak trip in the river.

If you prefer funnier activities, your best option is the Zona Karting in Juneda, in the outskirts of the city. There, you can have fun with your friends by competing in races driving smaller cars than normal ones, but faster!

If you want to go to Juneda, you will need a car but if you only have to go around Lleida you can go by bicycle and arrive everywhere easily. 

I think visiting Lleida is a good idea and I hope you'll enjoy it a lot!

HOW TO DRIVE THE STUDENTS CRAZY 

IN 45m.

I know all teachers want the best for their students, and students also want the best for their teachers. Well, it depends mostly n the marks. But we all love each other.

In spite of that, today I'm going to give you many ideas to drive your students completely crazy in less than 45m.

To start the amazing travel to the psychologist, the best way to begin the class is by carrying a big nox with all the books and explaining how impossible the reader exam will be. At the time of appointing the date of the exam, it's a good idea to ask for other 1209 exams of vocabulary, grammar, listening...

Then, a great idea to make the class funnier and not making it boring, is to be speaking for all the class and don't shut up.

If one student wants to say something and he raises the hand, don't give the turn to him. If he speaks, it's a good idea to hive one or two free reprimants or extra writings. How many? It depends on the weather or how the day is.

Oh, yes of course, a magnific teacher that loves their students must know that they love finishing Units and do lots of exams. So, to make them happy, you can finish a Unit in 20 minutes. They can perfectly do 2 exercices in ten seconds.

Then, if during all the class you haven't got time to finish your explanation, come on! It doesn't mind. You can use all the free time and don't let de students leave the class.

When they finally go out of the class, you can give homework, mor or less one or two pages, or two workbooks. If you are happy that day.

I think all the students will leave the class very happy, well, meybe they'll kill you.

COMPARING TWO PHOTOS

CINEMA OR HOME?

CINEMA OR HOME

Nowadays, watching films has become a hobby that most people like to do. People like meeting with their family, friends, etc. and going to the cinema... well, many other people like staying at home and seeing the film there more...
So, which is the best option? Watching the film at home or going to the cinema?

On the one hand, in the cinema you can watch the films in better quality by watching the film in a big set screen than the TV set at home, and not to mention the great sound. Also, in the cinema you don't find pauses during the film, like the advertisements on TV. A bad thing of watching the film at the cinema is that you don't have privacy. You must stay in a room  with many other people and you must follow the rules of the cinema. In spite of that, watching Blockbusters and the most recent films that you couldn't see at home has no price.

On the other hand, watching films at home is cheaper and takes less time than going to the cinema. Maybe you can fins many pauses during the film but at home you can choose whichever film you want. Is true that in cinema you can watch the most recent films, but at home you can choose all types of films and you don't have to choose between a limited number of films like in cinema.
Another advantage of watchin films at home is that you can follow your own rules. You can sit however you want, you can talk whenever you want.
Furthermore, you can eat whatever you want and not only crisps or sweets that are sold in the cinema

After all, the two options have good looks and both of them can be a fantastic plan. In my opinion, watching films at home is better. It is more comfortable and I think you enjoy more a film if you feel good where you ar watching it. And there is no better and more comfortable place than home.
